Gift That Says "I See You" | The Birth Flower Story

I’ve always loved a gift that says “I see you.”
Something personal, something chosen with thought, but not in the obvious way.
When I created the Birth Flower Collection, I wanted it to go beyond simply saying “you were born in this month.” Each design needed to feel genuinely stylish, but also to reflect the qualities and essence of the person receiving it, the quiet strength of a poppy, the grace of a rose.
I chose not to include the birth month itself in the hidden collar messages, because I wanted each flower to speak on its own. A poppy might carry meaning for someone born in August, but it might also resonate with anyone who recognises its message of remembrance and quiet strength. These pieces are about connection and reflection, not labels, a chance for meaning to find its wearer, rather than the other way around.
The very first piece I designed was the Poppy Tee.
If you’ve seen my work, you might notice I’m often drawn to a crisp pop of red on a bright white tee. Like a touch of red lipstick, it’s timeless, confident, elegant, quietly bold.
The Rose Tee soon followed, graceful and romantic, yet strong. By placing each message discreetly inside the collar, these pieces carry their meaning privately. It’s a sentiment you can give and wear without shouting it, a hidden message that feels deeply personal and thoughtful.
Each flower in this collection has been carefully researched, its symbolism, mythology, and personality traced through time. I wanted every message to feel true not just to the flower, but to the person who wears it.
After exploring each bloom, I crafted a hidden collar message that captures its essence, something that would speak quietly to the heart of both the flower and the individual it represents.
And once the meaning felt right, I settled on a beautiful, watercolour-style design for each piece, light, painterly, and timeless.
Because when a gift carries both style and symbolism, it becomes more than a gesture, it becomes a keepsake, a little spark of joy each time it's worn.
And that, to me, really is the gift that keeps on giving.
